Women are very much discriminated against health, in our society. Most of our women develop anemia due to lack of essential nutrients. Men are more valued than women in our society; women nurture their husband, and children. They generally eat last and least. They ignore their health even during pregnancies, delivery.
There is no proper care even while they are ill/sick. They do not go to doctor and prefer self-medication. Many health camps are conducted for women. Awareness about cervical cancer, breast cancer, uterus tumor diabetics are conducted with professional medicos.
We also educate our members to cooperate with any government sponsored camps like polio camps, eye camps and make the village people to attend the camps. Our staff members do exemplary volunteer work to coordinate Govt. and people for the success of the camps.
We regularly supply vegetable seeds, and flower plants with pots to the SHG / JLG members. Sanitation campaigns are so far is more than 203 villages. Under Green Earth programme, we give awareness to the villagers to avoid plastic bags and we ask them to use biodegradable products. We have supplied Vembu (neem) Arasu ()Goa, coconut Trees to the villagers. Our SHG / JLG members are producing biodegradable products like bags and napkins etc.
Free legal aid camps at Keeranur, Kunnandarkoil, are conducted by our along with district court, and local court. The district judges, eminent lawyers participate and our members were largely benefited by these camps.
Awareness programme were conducted in villages at Pudukkottai district and at Trichy district. Dramas on dowry system, Alcoholism, female infanticides were conducted by Kalaikkulu of women association which are well appreciated by common people. Many seminars are conducted on duties and responsibilities of general public and the proper usage of government schemes. Documentary films were taken and shown to the general public.
