WOMAN originally operated as a rural focused organization by providing Joint Liability Group based financial services. This population segment was highly underserved by formal financial institutions and presented a significant opportunity for WOMAN to accomplish its financial inclusion objectives. By serving this population, WOMAN has accumulated sizeable outstanding portfolio and will continue to spread its roots.

JLG is an informal group of 5 to 8 Women formed based on trust and knowledge of each other's business and character. They operate their business and live in the same locality. Each group selects a group leader who is responsible to coordinate repayments, liaison with the organisation, initiate and maintain group peer pressure. Each group member agrees to guarantee the loan of others in the group.

In WOMAN, we stick with the centre meeting concept, as it provides discipline and responsibility to JLG members and results in proper repayment.

JLG product offers and help our customers to finance their income generation activities and creation of assets, which have definite effect on their quality of life.

Who Can Be a JLG members?

• Should be from Same location
• Should be married
• Age Between 18 to 58 years
• Should not be a migrant worker
• Only one from a family in an JLG
